Summer special on Growing older in wisdom and integrity

Filed under: — Ulla Sebastian @ 9:06 am

Age imprints more wrinkles in the mind
than it does on the face.

Michel Eyquem de Montaigne, 1533 - 1592

It’s indeed not so easy to grow older in wisdom, integrity and self acceptance in this society.

We live in a contradictory situation and society. On one hand, being young gets more acknowledged than the experience of age. People above 50 are threatened to lose their job while at the same time they have become a target for the travel and health industry. On top of it, they have to cope with the requirement to take care of the old age of their parent’s generation.

Within these contradictions, we need to redefine our identity.

* Do you see yourself as a person that gets more and more worthless as you grow older or as a person that turns life’s
experience into wisdom, integrity, contentment and fulfilment?

* How do you cope with the growing age of your parents if they are still alive? How does that influence your own life situation? What are your thoughts and feelings about it?

* Do you feel financially threatened for your old age when you hear about all the social restrictions and the inverse age pyramid?

Your answers will depend on how much you can accept yourself and your life’s path and how much you feel that you have a say in your future.

To help you clarify these questions, I offer a summer special distance course from July - Sept. on growing older in wisdom, integrity and self acceptance
